Baby safety (cuts and bruises) Chapter 1
As young, new mothers and father you may all be very on edge always checking on your newborn to make sure they are okay. While this is completely normal it can also be very stressful and tiring, we all know becoming a new parent drains everything possible out of you so we would like to give you some ideas to make the thing that can be very stressful just a little bit less so.
types of safety
- prevention from cuts and or bruises from things around the house. (chapter one)
- prevention from chocking hazards (chapter two)
- prevention from damaging substances such as cleaning liquids and medications (chapter three)
- prevention from suffocation during nap and sleep time (chapter four)
Prevention from cuts and bruises
This one can be very simple, keep all sharp objects away from your child. If your house will take a while to baby proof and your bundle of mess and joy is already saying hello to the world or your house is particularly dangerous it may be worth investing in a baby's play pen. A play pen can be used when you want to keep your baby in a certain area when you happen to be doing something else like making dinner. Just keep all of the toys that go in and out of your child's play pen safe.
It is worth investing in a good built play pen because although it may cost a small amount more it is likely to be more safe for your baby. Say if your baby went into teething and you had a wooden play pen while you may not have a full eye on your child they could start chewing the wood. Not only would that wear down the wood but you don't want your child swallowing bits of wood. There would also be concern with a play pen covered in fabric because if the fabric gets soaked through every time your baby is in their play pen that could cause a mould problem.
Here is the best play pen we can find. This metal play pen is not likely to brake under stress and will not peel away into your child's mouth.

Another thing you can use that is better for crawlers/toddlers are corner covers. Corner covers are put over corners so that if yours child was to walk into the corner of the coffee table the impact would be spread out and cushioned making it very difficult for the child to end up getting a nasty scratch.
If you are a parent with a "kids will be kids" "they'll have to learn things hurt" mentality while we somewhat agree with you, we still think these covers are beneficial because what if your baby was to hit their fragile head on the table. instead of a rushed and panicking visit to the ER your child may just end up with a small bruise on their head.

conclusion
All in all we think these safety features can be very beneficial from just preventing minor bruises to what could be a very serious problem for your baby. It is worth having a look at these safety ideas for your little bundles of joy. hopefully this takes some stress out of the exhausting life of being a parent!
